Spicy Chili Noodles

Have you ever been to a Chinese restaurant and asked yourself, “what is this distinct flavor in their dishes that makes it so good?” Well, I have a perfect dish to satisfy your chinese food cravings. These spicy chili noodles are so easy to make and I promise you these taste exactly if not better than the takeouts. The secret ingredient is white pepper, this is a must in this dish. Spicy, full of flavor, mouth watering, I hope this satisfies all your cravings and makes you want it more.

Ingredients

  • Taiwanese flat noodles

         For the sauce,

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp black vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 
  • 1 tbsp dried red chili pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp szechuan paste
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • Pinch of salt if needed

Instructions

  1. In a pot, boil your noodles per instruction
  2. While the noodles are boiling, in a pan add sesame oil, let it heat in medium for couple of minutes then add the other sauce ingredients
  3. Mix the sauce together and turn the heat down to low
  4. Once the noodles are done, add your noodles in the sauce pan and mix it well together 
  5. In the same pot of boiling water, add your washed greens and let it boil for 5-6 minutes
  6. I sauteed some broccoli and shitake mushrooms for my side
